Do I need my own API key for the AI features?

Some apps mention AI search or generation. Does Herald provide the AI, or do I bring my own key?

    Herald is bring-your-own-key. There is no shared server AI key, so AI features do not run until you add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key. Add it on the AI key page.

    The cost lands on your provider bill (usually a fraction of a cent per query), and your queries stay yours. Herald does not store conversation history or train on your queries.
