What you can doin Hubs today.

Stay in a voice room while you read other channels, run a Q&A from a stage, or watch a video with friends. And when you've been away, Catch me up tells you what you missed.

Example call, shown for illustration.
At a glance

The short version.

The parts of Hubs people use every day, in a sentence each.

  • CallsVoice, video and screen share. Your call keeps going when you switch channels or hubs.
  • StagesFor Q&As and town halls. A few people speak while everyone else listens.
  • MeetingsSend a meeting link. Guests wait in a lobby and check their camera until you let them in.
  • Watch togetherEveryone in a voice room sees the same video at the same moment.
  • ExpressionsReact with emoji or your hub's own stickers. A hub can also open a sticker wall for members to pin stickers and notes.
  • Catch me upA list of what you missed, with a link to each message.
Calls

The call follows you.

Join a voice room, then go read another channel. The call stays with you in the Live Island at the top of the window. Pop it out when you want to see faces.

  1. Live nowSee who's in before you join.
  2. JoinedKeep browsing. The call comes with you.
  3. Pop out videoFaces float above whatever you're reading.
  4. Dock beside the chatOn a wide screen, talk and type side by side.
Stages

Run a Q&A without everyone talking at once.

Only the people on stage can talk. Everyone else listens. If a listener has a question, they raise a hand and the host can bring them up.

  • Moderators decide who is on stage, and can move people off it
  • Works for patch notes, AMAs, class talks and town halls
Example, shown for illustration.
Watch together

Press play once and everyone sees it.

Share a video in a voice room and it plays at the same spot for everyone there. You keep talking the whole time.

  • YouTube and direct video links
  • Play, pause and seek stay in sync
  • Hubs never copies the video
  • A hub admin turns it on in Manage, under Features
Example, shown for illustration.
Catch me up

See what you missed.

After a day away, Catch me up reads a channel or a whole hub for you. It pulls out what people decided, what mentions you and what's coming up.

  • Each line links back to the message it came from
  • With the hub's AI turned on, the lines come as a short summary instead of picked messages
  • You can also get it as a daily or weekly digest, in Activity or by email
Example, shown for illustration.
