API changelog

What changed in the Hubs developer API, the gateway and webhooks, newest first.

Changes to version 1, newest first. Additions never break existing code; anything that would is announced here first and gets a new version.

1. 2026-10-11Developer docs

   • These docs, with the API reference drawn from the schemas the server validates with.

2. 2026-10-11Organization webhooks and the event catalog

   • Organizations can add outgoing webhooks across their hubs, with the event envelope, version 1.
   • New events: reactions, members joining and leaving, channels created and archived, canvases updated.
   • Hub and organization webhooks gain Send test event (webhook.test), Redeliver and New secret.
   • Organization incoming webhooks, with a name and an avatar color.
   • Organizations can add a directory app to all their hubs at once, and keep it out of chosen channels.

3. 2026-10-11App directory

   • Listings, review and the public directory at /apps.
   • Hubs can choose which channels an installed bot may use; every bot path respects the choice.

4. 2026-10-10Hosted apps

   • Bot applications can carry a static bundle that runs in a sandboxed panel, with the bridge methods context.get, channel.read, message.post and modal.open.

5. 2026-10-10Gateway and interactions

   • The bot gateway: intents, heartbeats, resume and shards.
   • Slash commands, buttons, select menus, forms, embeds and private replies.
   • Bots can get, edit and delete their own messages.

   • Applications, bot accounts, bot tokens with leak detection, scopes, permissions and the install link.
   • Incoming webhooks for hubs.
