Find your way around
The top bar, the You menu, Messages, Activity and Search or jump, in plain words.
Hubs keeps the same few things in the same places, wherever you are.
- The top bar shows the places you use most. On a computer, the first tile is your Home and the next five are your pinned or recent places. Drag a tile to reorder it.
- Search everything is the search button in the top bar. Press Ctrl K (Cmd K on a Mac) to open Search or jump from anywhere.
- Messages (the speech bubble) holds your direct and group messages.
- Activity (the bell) holds mentions, replies, invites, friend requests, missed calls and other things that need you, plus threads, saved messages and drafts. It used to be called Inbox.
- The You menu opens from your picture in the top corner, or the You tab on a phone. Change your status, open your profile, Calls or settings, and switch accounts. On computers, Help and more holds guides, Send feedback, the tour, What's new and Get the app.
Search or jump
Type a few letters and Search or jump finds places, channels, people, messages and settings. It also finds these help articles: type passkey or screen share and the matching guide shows up.

On a phone
On a phone, a bar at the bottom has Home, Messages, Activity and You. Everything in the You menu is there too.
