Add channels and groups
Text, voice and update channels, and groups to keep them tidy.
Channels are the rooms of your hub. Owners and admins can add them.
- Text channels are for chatting.
- Voice channels are rooms people drop into to talk.
- Updates channels are for announcements. Members can read them, and the team posts.
- Page channels hold a page you design: rules, a guide or a Start here.
Add channels
- In the channel list, choose the + button named Create channel.
- Type the names, one per line. You can make up to 20 at once.
- Pick the type, and a Channel group if you want them grouped.
- Under Who can see these channels, pick Hub members or Hub owners & admins.
- Choose the create button. It counts how many channels you are making.
Groups keep a long list tidy, like Games or Staff. Choose Groups in the same window to make one. A hub can have up to 100 groups.
