Change your handle
Pick a new @handle in Settings. Your old one stays yours for 14 days.
Your handle is how people mention you and the end of your profile link. I wanted changing it to be easy, but not something that leaves your friends lost, so here is how it works.
- Open the You menu and choose Account settings.
- Choose Profile, then Account. Next to Handle, choose Change.
- Type your new handle: 3 to 24 letters, numbers or underscores. I check it as you type and tell you if it is taken, reserved or too close to someone else's.
- Choose Change handle, then confirm it's you with a passkey, an authenticator code or your password.
Your mentions and your profile link switch to the new handle right away, and you sign in with it from now on. I send you a short note in Activity so you have a record.
Some handles are reserved so nobody can pretend to be Hubs or a brand. If one you want is reserved and you think it should be yours, write to me at contact@ascents.gg.
